Abigail holds a M.A. in Russian Studies from Columbia University with research focused on Soviet relations with the Third World in the 1960s. She later pursued graduate work in history at Princeton University where her doctoral research examined the role of the World Bank in the transformation of the post-Bretton Woods international economic order.

Her current research interests include: anti-imperialist solidarity, land reform, urban guerrilla movements, Third Cinema, the structural roots of neoliberalism, and what it means to have been born at The End of History.
